Brighton / Milly Tubes Closed / Disney?!

Please, someone tell me this is a hilarious rumor..

I heard brighton is blowing so much snow and making their pipe bigger than it was before because... disney is doing a movie with shawn white and some girl learning to snowboard? Due to this, the Milly tubes and that entire section of park will be closed till Feb 1?

This can't be true can it? Someone with more information, please chime in.
 
All i know is the tubes still arent open despite the fact that there is plenty of snow. And it does look like theyre making the pipe pretty big. Wouldnt be the first disney movie
 
this is essentially what i have heard aswell, though i don't kmow anything about february 1st as the date to re-open the tubes. super bummer because the tubes are my favorite rails anywhere in utah
 
BLUE CRUSH ON SNOW! We could call it something uniquely winter though- like White Crush. Then we could all add to our growing list of ski premieres for next fall- PBP, MSP, TGR, Disney...
 
they were closed for a good part of early december, were still closed on the 15th when I was last there. hopefully if this is true park crew would be allowed to put features on the detour to the 2nd part of the park, that would be cool?
 
because they'll probably pay brighton a shit ton of money. none of which we'll actually see, but hey whatever, we just support the mountain, no big deal.
 
i think brightons just down with lettin people film shit there, they filmed some cell phone commercial last year or the year before
 
And a Jeep commercial last year. I'm totally getting in this movie, I think I've got a future in Hollywood...
 
Hell yea gonna try to be a movie extra, but in all seriousness its so lame that we can't hit the milly tubes. At least we have jumps now
 
I can confirm part of this rumor. I work at Brighton and there was lots of talk of it today. Disney is filming a tv movie at Brighton, specifically in the pipe. I think they start filming sometime next week. So the pipe will probs be closed mid next week. The people who were talking about it weren't sure if Shaun White would be at Brighton or not though, but that he makes an appearance in the movie I'm pretty sure. Should be interesting to see this all go down.

Shouldn't be to hard to find someone who fits this role....
