Breck's New Step Up

i know what a step down is but what is a step up?

--To Be A Jibber You've Got To Be So Fresh, To Have Style And Finesse Way Above The Rest--

pretty obvious, the opposite of a step down. a gap where the landing is higher than the takeoff

'He got fired? What did he do?'

'He jumped off of the roof again'

how's the snow at breck.......its shitty almsot everywhere else.

i think i know what your talking about. its pretty wierd

all the worlds a terrain park and the people are just jibbers.

icy in the am, slush in the pm although since there aren't any diggers the landing are getting pretty icey late in the day too

Head injuries suck!

I just went there for the past 3 days, and the snow is getting pretty bad, it's all icy and rutted. The pipe is ok though. I saw the stepup, but I didn't hit it, I was too pussy. What were you wearing, I might've seen you do it CUBuffskier.

red helmet, blue sessions jacket, and khaki bonfire pants; i took the day off today to rest my shins but should be back tomorrow. the scariest part bout that jump in you have to go so stinkin fast to make it to the landing i cased the first couple times.

Head injuries suck!

Yeah dude I saw you, you were fucking sick. I messed up my shins last week, but I just took a shitload of painkillers and I'm okay. Do you know if there were any pros there? I saw a group of 3 skiers who were doing corked sevens off of the last table before the stepup, and they were going huge.

How is the snow good for learning? I was going to do some new stuff, but I didn't cause it's all icy and shit. I think I'll just go to Loveland or something and build a kicker for cheap. The superpipe was cool though, I learned how to get out. Now I'm going to go to the Winter Park pipe and own it.

when the snow is slushy its good for learning, but yeah you're right the landings have been pretty hard lately. As far as pros go, no big names that i know of but yeah a lot of pros train there during the week. A month a go a group that usually rides with Ollson and rides for salomon in sweeden was there almost every other day. Saw some dudes with everything Rossig and Oakley but didn't have the chance to talk.

Head injuries suck!

Oh yeah another thing Gawd, i'd recomend taping your shins for the rest of the season. And do it with your ankle flexed forward. I fractured my tibs a few weeks ago and it enables me to ski w/o too much pain.

Head injuries suck!

Thanks Buffskier, I'll try that. I added some shin pads to my boots, but those didn't help too much. There are always pro snowboarders up there though, I saw some Japanese guys do some cab 10's and butter rails, and Todd Richards is always up there too.

I went there last month and it was nice. I didn't do anything that cool, but I remember the pipe being awesome, and they had a 50 foot rail set up that I actually got once.
