Are there any events that happen on the holiday, ill be out there for about a month and just so happen to be staying on mountain on the 1st and 2nd, any suggestions?

Mostly bar parties and shenanigans. Keep your ears open and you'll hear about something you want to do. I usually just hit up a house party on new years because the bars get pretty packed
