I know it's a repost, but that thread was made in August and it was more of a prediction thread.
I'd have to give it LJ

Quite clearly Xavier Bertoni and Kevin Rolland- both have been killing pipe for a while, but this year they finally got the results they deserve outside europe.

Martini and LJ - both featured in this year's Meathead flick along with the Traveling Circus idiots!

martinis movie parts are gunna be off the hook. LJ has always been good but he is for sure pushing himself and its everyone can see it. harlaut just keeps getting better and slaying harder and harder. gus diserves some credit too. oo and i could forget sean jordan hes gunna blow up huge real soon.

yea LJ killin it so hard this year especially with those doubles. I think i saw video of him doing one last year in a clownschool edit but this year seems like hes got a bunch down now. martini for sure doin big things this year. fall ski movies are gonna be soo dope!

continuing the pipe theme, i'd have to add duncan adams who has forecfully reintroduced style into pipe skiing.

His fairly older, but Blake Nyman. He got a spot with the Nimbus crew and should have some dope shots in their next movie. Along with the shots he'll have for the new Surface movie.

hes been really good for a while, but i feel like ian cosco is really stepping up this year. got a spot on jibberish, went to king of style and did well, went to joss and killed it, hes got a sw unnatty dub 10 that nobody else is really doing. i feel like this year he established himself to a bigger audience, im thinkin he might get a spot at x games next year if he keeps it up

Wallisch did great in the dew tour AND got into JOSS..thats a pretty big step up from last year, same with Henrik, JOSS is a elite athlete event and they have not been around anywhere near as long as Dumont, Jon, or Andreas..thats pretty breakout

wyble unexpectedly turned a lot of heads this year with his superunknown edit and so did mcchesney. ware blew up a little too. clownschool
OH how could i forget creighton

yes ive never even heard of henrik before this year and then he comes onto the seen and is throwing sw nosegrab 1620's ive never even thought of happening

yeah, tat mophier is doin work...
Collins and Tanaka have been entertaining the masses on Am Hour too

everyone mentioned above is killing it. LJ and martini may have stepped their game up, but to where? they can do all the tricks that were cool last year, with some afterbang? to me a breakout skier is someone who is pushing pros from the am ranks. like colby west doing the nose truck drivers, he was in the shadows for a while until he made his break.

in my opinion, Andy Parry got SOME of the recognition he deserves. everyone knows his name, and everyone knows his game. I saw a little kid bust out a hippiekiller last weekend at killington, thats the proof.

ya AP has been slaying. but do you really think LJ and martini haven't stepped up anywhere? LJ has been doing REALLY well in a lot of comps. He holds his own in pipe as well which is pretty sick. and as for martini, he stepped up a lot. as said above hes been doing shit on handrails that no one else is. how many other people have you seen do 3 swap front 2 out on a down box on a stairset?

Martini and LJ are obvious choices, but for the oddball pick I give it to Simon Dumont... obviously been a huge pro for awhile, but he earned so much respect from me and (I think) a large part of the community this year... he completely reinvented his image, and I'm really pumped to see more from him -- and I used to despise him to the point where I'd skip over his segments. A big "jea" to all the talent that's come out this year, though.

Henrik got much bigger (well at least trick ways)

Casabon did well in competitions

Blake Nyman as well making a bigger name for himself

couldnt agree more. sure people knew of him some last year but this year he has gotten huuge imo.i think chug life really helped him out getting him the exposure and as far as skiing goes...all i have to say is unnatty dub. speaks for itself.

I think their skiing has been super under appreciated for a couple years now, but they broke out (xavier in particular simply because of the x win) in way that is... atypical, because they dont get the hype machine on NS.

Cosco, albeit sick already, has demonstrated a prowess that I also believe is super under appreciated. He was established before, but something about his skiing just sets him up there into a new phase and level.

I'd say Martini... Henrik really proved himself as an amazing competitor this year, as well as Wallisch with some really sick results. Bobby stepped up to bat this year, hmmmm.... Alex Schlopy and LJ both blew up.
