Break bending-inward

Hey NS so I have a dilemma. I had a pair of surface new life's that I mounted up with a pair of fks and to do so the break was bent on my fks to fit (to about a 125ish) now after riding my new life's to an end I want to mount my new 2012/2013 punx but to do so and not catch my brakes all the time I need to bend the break inwards. The shop I go to said it's possible if I sign off on it but they don't recommend it. Give me your input and advice on the subject please
 
I would just get new brakes honestly. I know my shop just let me swap breaks for free when I had a similar situation. If your shop won't do that try going to another.
 
Yea my shop said if they were this years model they could just swap them but since I got them last year, they can't?
 
Fks brakes are a bitch to swap. I'm guessing you had some other binding that are a lot easier to switch
