well i play the trumpet and i was wondering who else plays any instrument. i just recently sent in a tape for all state band...hella hard music but sick, im competing against guys 4 years older than me and im hoping to get in...

^yep thas what happened to me...got too stupid and i was excelling further than my class so i just quit and now i just play wit MY band. its way sick and fun

its hard. on a guitar you can look at feel for the notes, on a trumpet its all memorization and and blowing 2 the max.

 
i used to play sax in the band but my band teacher was a dick wad so i quit, now i pick up the guitar every once in a while and jam

^^yeh..well i mean if you practice you get hella better..ive only been playing for 3 years and i barely tried out for all state band and i think i made it, and im competing against guys who are 3/4 years older..AHHH!
