Hey everyone, I've been spending a ton of time rebuilding my photography website from the ground up. I built my older one a few years back and my coding skills were needless to say lacking. My new site is much faster, streamlined, and generally more visually appealing.

Feel free to comment or critique, as I am still wanting to improve it. +k given to all, and btw, I know a few of the images are not the correct orientation, I need to fix that.

Thanks!!!

I actually really like the layout, simple and straight to the point. One thing I'm not too fond of is how the portfolio is just all the images. I'm a fan of having different portfolios for different shots (skiing. portraits, product, etc.) Also you left some photos with image names/number while most don't. I'm also not feeling how you have to scroll to another gallery of pictures. That's just my thoughts though, the site does look good for the most part.

The contact section needs some work. The font (helvetica I believe?) looks very amateur, and the center alignment doesn't look good at all. I was also surprised you didn't use your own photograph for a background too in that section, as a professional photographer I'd assume you would try to use your own work for that kind of stuff, and have a photo somewhere that would fit your needs.

Another issue I found was that when I viewed images, the quality was pretty low and the images stayed fairly small. I don't know if that's the lab monitor i'm on or something else, but you might want to change the blow up size or swap out the images (The ones that were rough were the stowe downrail and the urban photo). Also, but this is me being picky, I think you could use a better shot than the stowe one anyways :)

really like the style of the site. but i agree with keyjibbs. i would like to see different categories of shots. in my mind, for you to do this you are going to need to post more shots. but i do like the layout. the text goes really well with the background and general format. and i like your shots. in my opinion, just minor tweaks need to be made.

keep it up.

I really liked it, easy to navigate layout, great shots.

I agree that you should categorize your shots: Portrait, Skiing ect. but not a huge problem for the amount of photos you have now. As you ad more, it might be more appealing.

Also maybe consider routinely adding updates to your bio like a blog kind of. Letting people know where you are, what you are shooting and other updates to you photography life.

pretty dope layout. it would be sick if you could have the same look but build it in html, not flash. i guess im just not a huge flash fan and its not good when you are trying to get web results in search engines. having different portfolio categories would be cool to like some people said, i feel like i read somewhere you did cover shots for food magazines so i dont see why you dont have those up or a tear sheet section for them. oh and +k for the first ballerina's nips hahahha.

Thank you everyone for all your comments. This is why I asked you guys, there's always something that you miss. I do have a blog, completely for got to add a link to it. I'm in the process of creating a new email address rather than my school. It's a bit late for the .html now haha, I coded it entirely in flash so there's no way I plan on changing that. I'll take a look at the fonts, and yeah I know the background photos arent original, I just put them in as dark background fillers until I could choose something else. The photos don't seem small to me, as I have the site auto resize dependent on everyones monitors. I could set it for 2076xwhatever and then you'd have large photos, but no real use of a site. The categories are an option, I originally had it that way, but now there wouldn't be enough space on the toolbar, and it tended to slow my site down when i had a scroller for the different photo categories.
Thanks for the nips comment haha, tap that, and why would flash make it difficult in search engines? I embedded many keywords for searches?
+k to all of you!
