Brakes catching on ski?

I have 96 mm wide skis and my shop mounted 95 mm look pivots. They always seem to catch on the sidewall, should I just bend them? It’s weird, because they just kinda stop halfway up the sidewall and when I don’t notice it makes the ski slide around alot

normally there’s some flexibility with break width, it’s okay for it to be a few mm narrower than the width of the ski

Bending them a tad to clear shouldn't affect anything. Just yank on em.

I would go and bend them. Had the same issue with a pair of 97 underfoot and if ya don’t fix em, they shoot off like a missile.

yeah just pull them out a little bit. use a broken pole to do it, ideally

bending them a tiny bit wont hurt anything, although if its that close, you may be able to use a Dremel or file to grind the plastic nubs on the end of the break, which might be all u need.
