Brake Width?

Im not a huge Gear Fiend, so I have a few questions about break width. My new skis are 90mm width and I am going to be getting in to park so I changed my whole setup. Basically the brake width on the bindings Im looking at (Marker Jester Shizo) is 110. I have no idea if thats what it should be and Im not really sure if there is a huge difference in park bindings so if anybody Could let me know any suggestions and what not that would be great. Looking at around a 15/16 Din binding (Im a big dude)

From what I've learnt , don't go Marker. Look at Salomon STH2 16 , Tyrolia (rebranded as 4frnt/Liberty/Fischer as well) Attack 16 and the Look Pivot/Rossi FKs 14 . I've found the Rossi/Looks to be more expensive than the STH2s and Attacks. And brake width you don't want to go above or below 10mm, 15mm is ok but it's pushing it. Just ask for them to bent at your shop, or yourself if you're really careful and know what you're doing .

find some sth2 16 with 90mm brakes! 110 is going to be too wide!

do you want a demo like binding?

So going with a 90mm brake on a 90mm ski is okay to do?

Yep, you'll be fine doing 90mm brake on a 90mm waist

Alright cool, what are the main park bindings that people, I saw some body say they don't recommend Marker bindings, is there a specific reason why? If so what other bindings can people recommend.

Yes I saw the list above Im looking at all.

Marker bindings are plasticky, cheaper material wise and have been more prone to breaking compared to other bindings which are sturdier, metal, etc . A lot of people ride the Pivots or FKs in the park due to their great heel piece, these are the bright orange (Rossi) and lime green (Look) bindings you see many park skiers ride. But as I said, they are expensive, but you can't go wrong with STH2s or Attack 16s either, they are solid bindings too and I've found a them to be cheapers. Levelninesports.com has Tyrolia Attack 16 bindings with the desired brake width of your choosing. Build quality and durability is what puts Marker out of contention to the rest . I have some Rossi racing bindings from a few years ago on my Line Prophet 98s and I've had no issues with them. They've been solid on 2 pairs of skis over 4/5 years. My Salomon 1080s on the other hand, Rest In Peace :(

Get 90mm brakes. 110 is way too wide. You can even go smaller on brakes than ski width, they can be bent. If you really had to you could get down to 80mm or so brakes. But 90s are easy enough to find and are perfect, get 90s.
