Brake width question

I have bindings with 90mm brakes and am looking at a ski that is 105 underfoot. Would I be able to bend these to fit the skis or should I just buy wider brakes? Also if I take them to a shop to get mounted would they not mount them for me due to liability issues?

Which bindings are they?

I have FKS's with 90mm brakes on 110mm waist skis that were mounted without bending. Most brakes measure out wider than advertised. Plus, it's not difficult to tweak a brake arm a few millimeters if you actually need to get a little more clearance.

They are FKS's. Hopefully they're gonna work if not I guess I'll just have to buy wider brakes.

i assume you know how kind of a headache it is to deal with FKS brakes and heelpieces. The whold heelpiece needs to be taken apart to remove it unlike most bindings, so shops don't normally just sell FKS brakes unless you know ppl.

Chances are, you'll need to bend them. This video helped me a lot cuz i've worked with them quite a bit, but they are frustrating to work on the first ffew times until you get used to them. Worth it though cause they're 1 of the best bindings

Actually sorry, if it's only 15mm difference then yeah, like mentioned above, you should be able to tweak/bend the brakes without taking them apart.

Bumping this because I have a similar question. 90mm brakes on an 80mm waist ski.. Will this be an issue? I ride switch a lot so I'm worried about the brakes catching.
