Brain dead x them skates

I watched this the other day.

I do respect that sport and it is kinda cool but it also makes me understand why inline never really took. If these guys are the ‘style’ guys, it kinda still look sketch and awkward. Maybe this is because I’m a skier, but it doesn’t really have the wow factor of other action sports IMO.

All these people look like social rejects and not your classic ‘cool guy’ image like you see in skate/snowboard/ski etc. Which is kinda tite.

I think that these guys being the style guys makes perfect sense. Yes some of them look awkward but in my opinion a lot of them were throwing down and had sick fits that reminded me of the guys that skateboard for fa/hockey

You have to take into account that the amount of people even blading is incredibly low, thus you’re not going to have much “stand out legends” popping up.

Its basically a new sport since it didn’t take off originally.

I think with people wanting to try more different sports out these days / there being an actual rollerblade brand that has great filming / amazing song choices that it will definitely grow from here.

Ya for sure I could see it getting a better following over the next few years from what I watched. I just don’t think it has potential to be as big as skate/scoooter/bmx. They are all kinda more impressive to the average person IMO.

Most of the people in this video are well into their 30s hell Jon Julio is like 45 now. Rollerblading died out fast and most of the people still skating aren’t throwing down hammers like they used too doing smaller more tech shit nowadays. If you want to see big tricks you need to watch older videos.
