Box surface. UHMW vs. UHMWPE

Whats the difference?

is there one?

I'm building a box and need to know.

Just go with HDPE (high density polyethyle) it is a little cheeper and easier to get ahold of. I have never heard of UHMWPE though, so not suure about that. and getg 1/4" thick at least.

I know the thickness and all that shit but UHMW is Ultra High Molecular Weight where UHMWPE is Iltra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene... I just need to know if theres a difference becuase i got a sick deal for 8 feet 1/4 thick and 1 foot wide for 53$ of just UHMW...

I second HDPE either 1/4" or 1/2" depending on your budget, my 1/4" cracked after two summers, and two winters

Hmm...Never knew that. Alot of people use UHMW though so you shold be good with the stuff you can get ahold of. That is a really good size too cus then you can just get 1 or 2 sheets depending on how wide your box is.

try to get in to build a jib dult if your not already in it..there should be alot of guys to help you out in there

that 337 plus shipping for 40 sguare feet, divide that to get 8 square feet and you get 8 square feet fo 67 bucks, and that is in a way bigger amount than he needs, plastic is expensive.

or you could spend like 20 bucks on 4 small pvc pipes, put them all on the same piece of wood and BAM box.

one time I went to a sign shop and asked for the slickest stuff they had, and they gave it to me, and it was like $100, and it turned out not to slide whatsover. That double kink box sadly never got destroyed by skis, but by rain because nobody ever got to use it.
