Box broke HELP!

K this is what happened, i was testing out my new box i made and i was just grinding it and all but i guess the edges on my skis caught on the side edges of the top sheet of the box and the top sheet sticks out quite a bit so what would be the best way to fix this?
 
use a hammer and hammer in some nails only half way

k well how did u get ur top sheet on? srews? glue? nails?
 
screws but i got this covered i think, i took off the top sheet and im gonna bring it too school tommorow and possibly, rip the sides or use a band saw to cut some off
 
lol yea but i never acthually tried to slide it on skis until today, but it is extremely sturdy but the plastic sheeting just needs to be trimmed becuz it sticks out alot
