Bowling injury

so me and a few buddies were bowling like 3 weeks ago - like right before christmas break. so this one buddy is awful at bowling, and cant hit any pins to save his life. so im trying to like instruct him, you know - like telling him to aim with the little arrows and whatever. so that doesnt work, so i say okay do it granny style - like when you just roll it really slowly with both hands. so he tries that, and it goes straight into the gutter. so he goes into the lane, pretending to get the ball back so he can get a do-over. and as soon as he steps onto the lane, fucking slips and bashes his knee on the hard floor. so hes like limping around and sits out the rest of the game. so we get back from couple days ago, and i find out that he had to get surgery on his knee because he like tore his mcl and fucked up the cartilage around his kneecap... from fucking bowling. and now hes out for the rest of the season. how embarassing is that
 
haha he didnt know. apparently he never bowls, which also explains how he was so bad. but the funny/ironic part was that on the barrier between the lanes, there was a sign that read "caution lanes are extremely slippery"
 
Wow, never heard of a bowling injury, except getting you fingers stuck in the holes, but thats only for 400+ pound people.
 
when i was like 3 i tried bowling and i was holding the ball with both hands and dropped it and i was so short the ball bounced up and hit me in the chin and i had to get like 10 stitches.
 
hahahaha fuckin hi-larious. An ass hole in my school tried to play basketball with a bowling ball and did the same thing. Fuckin basketball.
 
i have a friend whos broken so may fingers in his right hand he cant fit them into the ball, so hes has to bowl lefty, and hes terrible, got a 51 once. other random shit hes done is throw the ball backwards, tripped himself trying to sweep his leg etc...
 
shit! what was he doing to cause enough impact to tear his MCL? My guess it that it was already damaged or weakened. Thats just rediculous.
