Boulder Valmont Bike Park!

i'm hoping to buy a new camera and would love to film some bike stuff this spring/summer with some ns'ers

Dude, I'm super stoked! On a separate note, has anyone ever ridden the Angry Ranger trail? Kinda bummed I didn't get to ride it at least once before they found it.

I went to the old fix the other day... the place was completely flat haha, like proper torn down with machines. There were still ridable jumps until a few weeks ago.

Valmont doesn't have an opening date yet, but should be May/June though.

That trail fucked all of us that were working so hard for those new trails and was a big FU to the BMA after they had put in so much time and affort into bike advocacy.

oooooohhhh. And i previously said that it was free but i think there will be a 30 dollar up front fee but then you'll have a season pass or something along the lines of that.

I got to pre-ride it last week. Didn't get to ride the dirt jumps or much on the hill, but holy shit is it sick. Even the flat easy XC trails were enjoyable. Can't wait for opening day and to ride all the sick trails.

i went to go check it out the other day around the perimeter and such but its massive and the xc trails go way far back and its probably bigger than you'll think it will be.

damn, i'm leaving town friday

anyone want to do some filming there when im back?

my first season out here. I've been running the same 3 single track trails in snowmass where I live, as most of that area is still closed from mud till june 20ish. I'll be looking for jumps once I get used to my new bike. Most people I've talked to in shops have told me carbondale is where all the mtb riders are this time of year, so I bet there would be some jump sets around there.

Once snowmass thaws out I'll be riding the lifts there pretty often. I still haven't found anyone to ride with yet. Let me know if you want to rock down some single track and I can take you through what I've found so far or if you find any jumps/pump tracks/fun trails.

Rode all day today. Here's an edit i just threw together as a taster for you guys. Didn't film much at all because we were having so much damn fun.

grand opening was sweet. if your a decent rider its definetly worth it to come from outside the area.

so fun im the one in the blue in that edit but never filmed that feature but it shoots you so high and for sure one of the funnest features ive ever done

just rode it for 3 hours. The whole park is pretty solid. I'm more of a single track XC rider, but there were plenty of features to keep anyone entertained. The jumps seem to have an awesome progression curve. I've only ridden jumps and pump tracks a few times probably about 8 years ago, and I started to feel comfortable pretty quick.

Everyone should check this place out beginner or expert. I've never seen anything like this open to the public and free. It's an amazing milestone for MTB in the area for sure.

I went there today for the first time. The place is awesome, everything is so well built. Also, I had no idea how big it is, so much to do.

i am back in town for the rest of summer, if anyone wants to film some let me know! i have still not been

i'm trying to go friday since i'll bein in boulder for Lotus anyways. hopefully i'll get time to check the park out. holler at me if you see me on a white NS Bitch.
