Boston Skiing

Gonna be living in Boston next year for college. Whats the most convenient/best hill to ski park at near the city?
 
Nashoba has great parks for being really close to the city. NH and VT have bigger mountains with bigger features.
 
Nashoba and Wachusett both have pretty fun parks.. Not saying you should do this, but neither place is very good at checking for tickets. Sunapee and Loon are easy day trip drives as well.
 
Nashoba is definitely the closest park, place is tiny tho. Closest really good park is loon, 2 hours. Wachusett is a bitch to get to from Boston , and closest all mountain steeps with quality sidecountry and glades is cannon , about 15 minutes past loon,
 
VT only 2 hours away or so which is a really easy drive. Worth the extra drive time on the weekend for such better skiing. Stratton, mt snow pass is super cheap and offers some solid skiing between the two
 
Just hit some urban... Blue hills is closest but it's tiny and has like 3 rails at its best. It's worth it to go to nashoba if you want a decent park. If you want a decent mountain, go to NH or VT.
 
I went to school just outside of Boston. On days where I didn't have class or had late afternoon classes, I'd head to wachusett. An hour down RT2 for an empty mountain and hot park laps was definitely worth it. The college pass is $190 dollars for the season. Definitely worth looking into.

Nashoba always has a better park IMO, but the season passes aren't cheap given how small the hill is. Lift tickets for a single day are comparatively super cheap, though.

Be careful at nashoba. Went about 5 or 6 times without tickets this season and was only caught on the last time but got a lifetime ban lol

hahaha how would they know if you came back? pay in cash, go to the kiosk with all your gear on. Where you fucked up was not acting like you left it on a different jacket, hoodies, etc.

Yeah i was planning on coming back, but they took a pic of my license plate so we would need to take a different car. I was skiing with 2 other people also without passes and we obviously did use the different jacket excuse. We said we would go to the lodge, but we just started taking the other lift, and since we were basically the only people in the whole park atleast it was pretty obvious so ski patrol stopped us on the way down

word. it'd be dope to get to know some skiers there. there's gotta be at least a couple out of 18000 people.
