Does anybody have any good recomendations for good boots for next year. I do a shit ton of backcountry but i don't want anything that is going to kill my feet when i do venture into the park

NO, NO, NO. like my good buddy senortetas said, the 1080 is overrated. my suggestion, like always, is a 3 peice boot from Dalbello. ive said it before, and ill say it again. a 3 peice shell just cant be beat for freeriding/newschool/jibbing/BC. WHY? cause they are just as stiff laterally (where soft boots usually lack preformance), but they have HUGE amounts of forward flex (for soaking up big hits), and it is nice and smooth and progressive. not only that, but they are way easier to slip on and off, they dont have that sharp edge that can sometimes show up in a 2 peice shell (right above your foot and ankle). granted, if the boots dont fit your feet, than you are kinda screwed, unless you feel like getting the boots blow out anf custom fitted.

Check out the kryptons and ZX series.

i have the ZX supersports from 05, and they rock. i ground out the stop blocks and flex adjusters (didnt do much), and added rubber dampening in the footbed, and they are the best boots ive ever skied. my line transfers were a close second, but the terrible quality of the buckles really killed them fast.

Yeah, I've been looking at Dalbello for next year amoungst others. I've read a lot of good reviews about the Krypton but a lot saying the liners are pretty poor too. The ZX looks nice though. What rating is the flex on those? Did you make and fit the shock absobing footboards yourself or are they available from Dalbello? I've got a day's bootfitting at the end of a tech course next week so hopefully I'll know all this stuff for next season.

 
dood, i mean on paper some look better than others but all it comes down to is how it fits. If it fits buy it and don't listen to anyone else, everyones foot is a different shape, so one boot that fits unbelievably for someone else you might not have a chance in hell that it will fit you, just try some on that you're interested in and see what fits.

my boots are a really weird european brand but are super comphy and sick. i think they are called, let me check...alpina. they are a unisex boot...not that that matters. kinda square but super gnarly!

i have the 1080's i liked them quite a bit lasted very well very comefortable at teh beginning of teh summer but i tried on teh rossi soft boot one and loved it sooo much but the seller was being a douche and didn't think i could handle them or some bullshit like that and my mom believed him! so i got stuck with some shit boot last year..

 
boots are a peice of gear i take a lotta time lookin for the perfect one and i found them.. the solomon costom fit... its like the 1080 but a lot better... they have super sick control, almost race fit but aslo flex where it counts ( in the park) i could ski any where w/ these boots
