Boots packing out, Can I refit them at home?

Backstory:

A year and a half ago I bought some Head Mojo boots with the heat fit liner. I got custom foot beds and never got them heat fitted because they already fit my feet so well. I used them all of last season, probably close to 50 days is all, with about 10 or 15 of those days hiking (usually over snow, sometimes over rocks), and so far about 30 days this season. Lately they seem to be loose and sloppy and I have been getting shin bang and calf bang again.

Question:

Can I heat these at home and remold them in my oven? They have never been heated before so will getting them fit help the packing out or just expedite it? I could go to my shop but I am trying to avoid this (those in the ON3P cult might remember the binding mount thread I made)

I also have searched a bit and found this thread on TGR http://www.tetongravity.com/forums/showthread.php?t=70080 but it wasnt a huge help..

I had the exact same problem. I had mojos all last year. The white ones with the dragon thing on the side. They fit perfect when i first got them but by the beginning of the season this year they packed out quite a bit. I bought them online without seeing a bootfitter first and got one size too big even though they fit well for the first year. Needless to say I learned my lesson. I ended up getting full tilts this year and not because its the thing to do but because I went to a bootfitter and they worked with my foot.
now for some useful info.... At the beginning of this year I tried heat molding them myself by putting the liners in the oven on low and being careful not to get them too hot. They actually seemed to heat mold somewhat and were more comfortable afterward but they also packed out a little bit more. I dont think heat molding is gonna fix your problem. I think your best bet is to go to a good shop and tell them the problem and see what they can do. theres a lot of things they can do to tighten them up. hope this helps

Thanks for the advice, I am sure that I will probably end up going to a shop. I have just been avoiding it. Not because they aren't good just because I hate going in there for reasons I would rather not explain now.

Where in montana do you live? If you are near bozeman I recommend going to chalet sports in bozeman. Super chill guys that know what they are doin.

Tongue eliminator? Do you have more info? I will look on google and TGR as well.

I live in Great Falls so going to Bozeman just to get boots fit would be a little out of the question but I have been in Chalet before and it seems like a good shop.

YA they are made by a company called instaprint i believe. I sell them at my store and i have used them personally for my old packed out salomon 1080 boots. They are like 25 bucks and are a cheap fix for loose boots and can also help alleviate shin bang.
