I've got salomon pro models and have the same problem. I think it has to do with a low cuff or something...but when my shins hurt I just land everything fakie, salomon boots have very soft foreward flex. That and rest. Other than that, check a better fitting boot next time.

it happens. there really is only one way to cure it. a fe ski boots (line transfers namely) work very well. any ski boot with a 'walk mode' will work. skiing with the rea of the boot unlocked takes some getting used to, but after a few days of figuring out, it doesnt affect your riding. (i prefeered by transfers unlocked in powder and at over 50mph). the transfers are your best be though, because they have a TON of forward flex, and it soaks up most impacts, and the unlocked shell save your ass in a backseat landing. another plus, is that its super easy to shift your wieght around fro manuals and ollies. some people will say it isnt safe to ride in walk mode, but i rode 3 seasons like that injury free. it still holds your ankle fine. you can find transfers for well under 100 on ebay.

i looked on google but all i could find was 3D Animation porn-sxmarty6

ECS headwear, hit me up!

half the time the walk mode is the cause of the shin bang. sometimes having looser boots is better for me, becasue it is more comfy. sometimes it can be the way the boot is set, so take them to your local shop adn see if have anything that can fix it. if nothing else works, hit the ice hard, casue iceing fixes everything

i'd still never touch salomon bindings with a 30 foot pole. they pre-release like its their job to.-lanks

Pirate steeze, arrrr!

Booster strap bitches. I just got some this year and it made a huge differnce, I get absolutly no shin bang. I strongly reccomend you buy some.

if you have skinny shins like me, you might need to move the buckles on your boots to make them tighter. there is an allen wrench that came in the box with your 1080's that should work fine, maybe try that if you haven't already.

my level of radness... it just can't... be quantified.

Yea idk about walk mode causing shin bang cuz i always would forget to switch and i never had shin bang cuz of it! But my old boots had a walk mode a ski mode and a cruise mode i always skied in cruise mode they were perfect. Dalbello was the make cant rem the model!!

Pete is currently sulking around Mt. Hood, shooting with Poor Boyz Productions and hitting on Kristi Leskinen. She hates guys, Pete lamented, so it’s not going good. Apparently Canada isn’t the only thing that’s tough for Pete to get into.

Dudes, I have tried every single adjustment on my boot to try and remedy my shin bang. I have been in the gym working on my calves and shin muscles even to beefen up my legs. Nothing works! I think i get shin bang because the boot is to low perhaps...its like my leg is trying to break over the top of my boot...

Travis at mt. hood was selling these special shin things that stopped shin bang for 20 bucks.

Hey dude..have you tried changing the place of the second lowest buckle a little more up? You only need 1 minute of screwing with the tool that has 6 sides (penta-screwdriver in english?.. shit..)

It really helps keeping your foot down on the bottom of the boot, so you don't have to put the upper buckles so tight. To me, the tightness makes my shins hurt, especially with butters (sheesh, Louise, it hurts..)

Bottom soles=all the way

Upper soles=to the first or second hole

Strap=very loose

For pipe skiing I tighten everything up a bit.

skiny calves would be a dream....try finding a boot that fits a big calf and still flexs, not happening.

1080's dont work (unlike what most people say that ti fits a wide calf)

i have these dalbellos just cause they fit....they dont flex so well and i get hardcore shinbango

dori-it might be the working out thats causing your shin bang. After my acl surgery and shit after doing all the rehab and what not, I was geting shin bang, but I stop running and working out my calves and just stretch my calves a little and I havn't had any since.

If you're too cheap or lazy to get Booster straps, run the stock power strap underneath the upper shell. It's better than nothing.

Alright this is what i have learned. Last year because of my extreme shin bang i would do the same thing, i would tightn my boots like a mad man. But that just caused more shinbang, why? Because when i flexed foward my strap was holding me back and pressing my shins.

What a booster strap does is first it makes a real nice snug fit around the top cuff and it flexes foward with you not hold you back. Please instead of tighting your boots to the max just drop 20-30 bones on a Booster strap.
