Boots for wide feet

Hello NS fam,

I am looking to upgrade my boots. I have very wide feet with a huge instep arch. I’ve tried the widest FT boots and they are still pretty tight. Anyone else with freaky feet have recommendations for a boot?

Don’t wanna state the obvious but boot fitter man.

I don’t have crazy wide feet but bigger than avy and a huge arch, got fitted and feels amazing

this thread is for me lmao. I got mf wide ass size 14 feet and the Salomon x-pro series was literally life changing for me. they come in some fairly stiff options that are honestly solid for park, and I've got 2 seasons out of mine without any breaks or cracks when I used to break boots every month or two. I could not recommend them enough, could literally wear them out to the bar and be chillin

Most companies make boots in wide lasts which didn't always use to be the case. Keep in mind forefoot width is just one piece to the puzzle as the entire shape of the foot needs to be accounted for when selecting the proper boot. Just because a boot is classified as having a wide last, doesn't necessarily mean it will accommodate other specific anatomical features relative to your foot. For example some individuals have a wide forefoot with a narrow heel.. To get proper heel retention it is often necessary to create additional forefoot width which is a very common boot mod.

As mentioned it would probably be in your best interest to sit down with a bootfitter and stick to trying on 3 pairs at most. Ultimately it's all about selecting the boot that requires the least amount of modifications but for some people, they can't ski a boot out of the box without some additional fit work.

I’ve got a wide last and yeah FTs feel tiny. Even the length felt so tiny. I would say go to a bootfitter but is your calf big too?

If you had a hoof of a foot, I’d probably throw you in atomic hawx magna or Nordica cruise. Last I worked on the cruise, there were screws on the spine to open up the cuff even bigger for big calves. But take all this with a grain of salt
