Boots for chicken legs

Looking to upgrade my boots. I wear some older Head boots currently. With my thin legs/ankles and narrow feet, I’ve had some minor slipping issues that I hope to fix with some boots designed more for those with chicken legs and narrow feet. Any suggestions?

The best thing you can do is go to a professional who can look and feel your leg/foot to determine a proper fit. People can tell you to go and buy ‘x’ boot because it’s so sick and they love it but you’ll never end up with the same experience as your fool will be different

get some cargo pants for the chicken legs. honestly don't put food or anything else in your boot not even your cash. if people are trying to mug you for your lunch maybe just make a bunch of extra chicken to share

I understand this response but as someone who struggles finding low enough volume boots some guidance could be useful. For example if OP goes to a bootfitter that carries Nordica, Tecnica, Rossignol, and K2 they probably won't find the lowest volume boots on the market and thus might not end up with a good fit. Most shops only carry a handful of brands and only remarkable bootfitters have good knowledge across the entire market.

I have a chicken leg disease aswell, I have a fatty shim in my Lange rx and it works for me. Rest of my foot fits perfect in it as well for the bootfitter crowd

That’s fair enough, must be harder finding boots for chicken legs rather than someone with big ol tree trunk legs

I have tiny calves and very skinny feet and my lange 110 LV are amazing to me. (I did move the top buckle to make it tighter but there are holes to do so.) But they are the best boots I've found so far

Every brand makes a solution here and to list them all 50 of them won't make a lot of sense.

What you should do - search out the shop in your area that specializes in race boots, as these are the lowest volume and skinniest boots around. They will come in a variety of widths (even though they are all narrow) and have flexes from 70 up to 170 and everything in between so it doesn't mean you will be in a super stiff boot. These boots have great plastics, great liners and offer better shock absorption & damping than "regular" ski boots.

I guarantee you will be happier to doing this than visiting some other shop that only carries regular, "all mountain" boots. Not only will most of those boots be too wide they rarely have the boots that I mentioned above.
