For example if OP goes to a bootfitter that carries Nordica, Tecnica, Rossignol, and K2 they probably won't find the lowest volume boots on the market and thus might not end up with a good fit. Most shops only carry a handful of brands and only remarkable bootfitters have good knowledge across the entire market.
