Boots and butters

yesterday my calves were killing me and I am tryna figure out what happened. Usually that level of pain would have been after 4 or 5 days of consecutive skiing and has never been this severe after two. I hit the park from 10 to 7 at boreal with a 2 hr nap break.

THe boots i have been using are 8 years old - Salamon impact 8s - got them when I was just getting into skiing. I was fitted by a boot fitter and have heated foot beds. havent had too many problems except for the occasional discomfort.

I was struggling tryna nose press and perfect my butter- could that have caused an unusual amount of pain? I heard it was easier to butter if your boats were snug? also they are very stiff boots?

inb4 buy full tilts. i tried the the tammy wallnuts pro model on and they didnt fit that well

ya 8 years in the same liner is a long ass time. ya a snugger boot does make butters easier theres a lot less play in em. i think its time for some new liners maybe even boots if you can afford it

Yeah as others have said your liner are probably done by now. But it's also worth checking te cuff shape. Those impacts ha a fairly rounded rear cuff if I remember which may be more curved then you need. You coul. Possibly have a new flatter spoiler added and even add some soft foam to it to help with impacts. This will also remove some room i the cuff.

And ns just to say those boots are only a 100 flex so not actually stiff. If they feel stiff to you they may be a little big.
