alright so am at the skishop today and i tryed on the last year 1080's in 29.5(i have a size 12 shoe) and then theres the this years in one size smaller and the older ones fit good but they seem alittle loose and the other ones fight just alittle to tight. so basically my question is what is better have just alittle loose or just alittle on the tight side?

bvasicly when you fit an adult boot, when its buckled and you stand up strait, you want your toes to grase the end of the boot and when you flex forward you want your toes to come off the front.. as far as the rest, snug is good, tight is bad... keep in mind the boot will pack out for you but if there are pressure points, they should be good.

When i buy boots, i like them to be a little tight at first, because like the guy a few posts before me said, the liner will pack out and give you extra room... so if theres already space in your boot, expect to have a little more after a few days of riding them. I used to wear 30s before i realized this... after about a week of riding, my boots got a little too big for me to wear comfortably and i kept bruisin my toes... so since then, i wisened up and started gettin 29s with custom footbeds... they're a bit tight at first but after a week, i couldnt be happier.

okay, you should definitely buy the snugger ones. If boots are a bit loose when you try them in the shop, they are only going to get worse. Get the snug ones, they will pack a little bit. Always go tighted than looser. Especially if you going big, otherwise you will get serious broken toe syndrome.

I dream of winter.

The 1080 boots are based off the Xwave which has a thick liner that does and will pack out over time. Definitly fit them tight. Downsize if necessary. Remember it's easy to expand a shell, but near impossible to shrink one.
