Boot Repairs

I was wondering if anyone on here has ever had to repair liners. I broke the plastic piece off the top of the tongue on some Salomon Quest 130s. I was thinking petex would repair it by melting the plastic back together but I know that would probably void my warranty. Any suggestions?

Did you break it, or did the piece fail? If it is the former, take it to a shop and see if their boo-fitter can fix it. If the latter, then you can try to warranty it and get a new liner from Salomon.
