Boot Picks for 2013/14 Season

Hey everyone, I've been looking at the new Salomon SPK 100's and the FT Classics, and I'm gonna buy one of the two for this years season. The SPK's are cheaper so I'm kind of leaning towards those, but I know the classics are great park boot and have the intuition liner to eliminate shin bang. Does anyone have experience with the SPK's flex and know a little about the stiffness compared to the FT's and if there isn't a lot of shin bang? Please let me know!

After having full tilts for the last couple seasons I would go for the spks. They are a little stiff from what i remember but you can replace the heel and toe pad which pretty much doubles the life of the boot.

one surefire way to get the right boot is to pick a boot with the lowest price and the best looks. you can't go wrong. good luck!

Just go with what fits your feet the best. With Full Tilts, you can get one or two extra tongues to utilize with whatever condition you experience, for $50 USD per spare tongue on the Full Tilt site. SPK's have the extra padding, but not the warmth. I switched from having a pair of SPK Kaos's to a pair of last year's Full Tilt Classics. I race for high school and didn't need to have the softness of a park boot after racing in SPK's this past winter while doing freeskiing on the side.

I would not look at either of those boot personally they are both a bit dated. However that is not the main point I want to bring up. Those too boots fit rather differnt. The spk fits a wide forefoot with a narrow heel and low instep. The full tilt fits a little bigger in the heel and instep but has a narrower fore foot. There is no way you can fit in both well. But as I said at first neither boot is that amazing, so do yourself a favour and go have a fitter look at your feet and recommend a good shape boot for the shape of your feet. Make sure to have custom footbeds fitted at the same time and don't limit your self to looking at so called park boots.

Seriously get what fit your feet, for the last 2 years I've gotten full tilts just because they were full tilts. Even though the boots never fitted my feet I still bought full tilts. Just yesterday I went into a bootfitter and actually bought a boot that fitted my narrow ass feet. So spend the extra money and go to a bootfitter.
