got told the same thing when i was buying my FT booters, i asked if heat molding was necessary, and he said that it was only necessary in the 90s when the liners only formed after the foot in 70-80 degrees and that you might pack them out to much and they would lose there ability to stay warm.

That is false. If you read the info that came with the boots, they are made to be molded 4-6 times. I have coworkers that have molded their ID liners upwards of 5 times, and they have never mentioned anything about getting a colder boot. An intuition liner is blank sheet of sexyness that is meant to be heated up and molded so they become 100% custom to your foot. I would love to visit some of the shops that are telling people not to heat mold FTs, or dalbellos with ID liners.

How can you refute that exposure to heat and molding (especially multiple times) will not have an impact on life of a liner?
The fibers/material and shit are getting more worked.
just break in the boots and they will mold to your foot without as much stress.
makes sense to me.

It is fine to heat, moldable liners, modern liners were all designed in some matter to be molded. Now a normal liner will break in the same as heat molding in about 2 days, and can take a few heatings before they begin to break down. Now intuition liners that are found in dalbello and full tilts, were designed to be heat molded in a convection oven, and can be molded two times before they begin to shortlast.
