allright if i get a 27.5 boot with a 26.5 liner in it will the liner stretch and become the size of the boot, thus becoming too big? wierd question, i know. thanks for any input

wow man... Liners will strech yes. New boots come with liners that are a few millimeters short anyway. What you have is just not going to work I don't think. the liner might move around in the boot even if it's cranked down... let us know how you do.

i dont think thats hot suace, i have one size larger liner in my boots and its good but one size smaller isnt doing anything but cramping your toes and making the liner looser in the boot.

why do you want to do this? Size? You can work on the smaller boot to make a little bigger, or take up some volume on the larger boot if you have say a long skinny foot. How are you buying a diff boot than liner anyway?

Thats true some are... I guess we need to know what kind of boot. I am sking in 30.0 liner in my 29 shell that I have ground out longer... Salomon boots go two sizes per shell... but it's more of a width really. I guess I really want to know why you would want to buy new boots like this... Mine are just a collecton of stuff I put together.

The shell size for a 25 and a 25.5 is always the same - the only difference is the liner thickness, or more commonly now it's just the thickness of the stock insole that's different.

You could put that liner in that shell but it won't be ideal at all. If the liner fits you now, it will get sloppy. If the shell fits you, get the liner stretched to fit the shell and it might be alright.
