Boot fitters in Vancouver/whistler ?

Coming over to work the season in October and was wondering if there was any recommendations for boot fitters in Vancouver or on the mountain?

Comor is your best bet for sure if you are around Van or Whistler. If you have really messed up feet/special needs you can hit up the intuition shop first, they'll recommend you a boot to go try on, and combo it with one of their liners (if the boot doesn't have one already).

Lots of awesome shops in Whistler. But NSer tompietrowski works in Comor and is definitely a good option to meet up with.

I’d definitely go to sure foot . I used Comor and had to buy new boots mid season because they sold me a super wide foot boot after they supposedly fitted me . My foot is super skinny . I’d never bought a ski boot before and they saw me coming . All the other gear I bought from them was a good price though and they friendly enough

I'd hardly call a bunch of injected foam "custom" in reality. It's surefoots way of saying "we actually didn't want to try too hard to find the right boot for you".

There's a reason they're called sorefoot.

In whis surefoot, Comor, fanatyk, I bought mine from can ski and they were fit well(I got fitted at the atomic store before but I bought from can ski because staff deal)

Sorry to hear you had issues. Which store were you fitted in out of interest? Did you get the boot refunded ok? If not ome see me in whistler ill get you sorted.

Not to side track but who would you recommend in Van? I'm in a similar boot need but probably not gonna be up to whistler until the season gets going. I work like 2 blocks from intuition so might as well pop in there if they're recommended but Comor kits is easy to get to

This was a few years back when I was on a work holiday visa . The store was the whistler one beside the Olympic Rings . I came back twice and The first time the guy said to me it was strange I had been sold those boots . But then just packed them with all sorts of plastic packers . I went back again and he packed them some more . I ended up just giving them to a friend and getting some other boots because the shin bang I was getting was unbelievable. I bought all my gear there and was happy with it all apart from the boots .

Yeah that does not sound good. They did struggle with fitters here a few years ago. I worked elsewhere in whistler at the time and comor would not be somewhere i sent people, so sorry you got that bad service back then. But im stoked you found a boot now that works.

Im afraid I dont know of anyone I would suggest you go too. Not sure if there is really anyone left fitting in the city. If you can make it to whistler id be happy to help you out.

Thanks man much appreciated. I’ll let you know if I end up heading to whistler - getting fitted properly is usually worth it!
