im about to install it, but i need to get window XP service pack 2, and one of my friend has it so i gotta wait for that then im set to go.

i wasn't planning on installing it, but since mac version programs are hard to crack so ill just take the pc one and switch it over to mac through windows. the only thing im worried about is the virus, spyware shit. think it will have any effects? i guess it wont as long as ur not using internet on windows?
 
what boot camp does, it will help the windows to run on the mac, you can start up your computer in either mac or windows as if you are actually using windows computer.

 
i did it, and it works great so far....but im not gonna use internet on the windows anyways, (even tho i cant get the internet to work on windows anyways) just for programs only!
 
I was thinking about getting bootcamp, but why would u get it in the first place? the only reason i could think of would be if ur a gamer? or maybe if u use like premiere to edit instead of fcp or something
 
just so you know, whether u use boot camp or any other programs, when you run windows on your mac you are fully succeptible to any viruses out there. So just be warned. However when you switch back to Mac OS the viruses aren't there anymore (they work with windows only) but when you go back to windows they'll be there again. Just a warning for all you fellow mac-ers
 
i was gonna do it so i could play jibberish, but i got almost all the way through setting it up, then i realized i needed windows xp w/ SP2, and i anly had SP1a...
 
where did everyone get SP2 anyway, i bought XP when it came out so I had to dowload the SP2 patch for my older version, now i want to install it on my mac and everyone I know only has SP1
 
ya, a friend of mine had an sp2 so i borrowed it. but sometime next week, im going to do the whole thing over again and reinstall it cause my wireless doesn't work on my windows and it should this time. i found a torrent xp sp2 that i downloaded not too long ago.
