Boot air bubble

Towards the end of a long hot day my right boot starts to try and fart a little. Seal around the cuff is great and the air can't get out.

It starts under my foot and I'm sure something is probably off with the footbed, but I can figure out what/where. Boot fitter spent tons of times with me already but we're still working on this last piece.

Any ideas on ways to find the spot that needs posting?

can you post an audio clip of you ski boot farting please?

I'll try my best, though usually the seal around my cuff keeps it stewing until I pull my foot all the way out of the boot.

put soap around your boot and see where the air comes out

Lol Too bad there's no leak check port. Snoop liquid is also a huge pain.

Semi engineering jokes lol

Never come across this. What model boot? I'm curious to hear about it if you ever get it figured out.

It's the Cochise 130, but I've had a similar issue with full Tilts. Both used instaprint footbeds. Issues with arch support on one's made more recently, so I'm still using ones from 2014! I think it has to do with the arch movement of my right foot.

Hmm. I'd agree that it probably has something to do with the footbeds, since it's the common factor. What's the material on the bottom of those footbeds? If it's moving inside your liner, or even if the liner is alternating between tight and loose against it as you flex the boot, I could see the edge or bottom of the footbed getting kind of stuck on the sides of the liner and squeaking/farting the same way you sometimes do getting on and off a leather couch.

There's foam posting all over the place on the underside. I've got powerwraps, so it shouldn't shift around.

The bubble seems to start under my foot, between the sock and footbed in the arch area, and as I ski around it tries to escape out the heel pocket and up the Achilles. Heel cup and hold are on point so it doesn't make it past there.

It's probably actually always an issue, but I only notice it at the end of the day. By that point my feet are sweaty af, my socks are saturated, and it starts to seal completely around the heel and lower cuff.

Are you by any chance riding in neoprene surf booties? That would do it ;)

I'm basically wearing 2 on each foot by the end of the day. Saturated socks and powerwraps seal things up pretty tight lol

Maybe there's some contact sheeting I can put on my footbed to find the low spots?
