well first of all, if you're looking for quality stories, look no further than ns. they've been churning out great stories every week and with the season just starting, i only see things getting better.
from the sounds of it, you're more excited about a magazine being on your doorstep monthly- and a good one at that. the best way to get rid of these magazines you don't like? well... don't buy them. if you don't want to support them, then save your money and don't. maybe you can't find perfection in every issue of every magazines on the stand- but that's expected to happen. where's the fun in only having lions on the sahara? they can't all be AWESOME. i have the latest Skiing magazine next to me right now. though i don't subscribe to it, there are a few articles that i enjoyed reading. i specifically don't subscribe to some magazines because i know they won't live up to the expectations i have for them month after month. if you're really so hot and bothered about boost- then don't buy it. i think you should quit worrying about the magazines you don't like, and fully support the ones you do, solidifying their reign in the ski-magazine world.
who knows, with such a passion to hear yourself speak, as it seems you have, maybe you should just up and try writing for yourself. you'll soon learn that you can't make everyone happy, that not everyone's going to like your article or what you have to say... much like is occuring in this thread of yours...
