Boone Magic Stickz?

I saw the boone magic stickz on D-Structure for like 250$ (in canada) but i'm not sure how they ride. The geometry looks good but how soft, stuff, playful are they?

I don't know why everyone treats the Boone skis as different skis in their line. They are just different graffics. Anyone wanna explain?

Boone has two options: an 83mm waist and a 93mm waist. You can choose among the three graphics. I'm 5'8, 130 lbs, I have the 170 cm long version of the 93mm magic sticks. Hopefully that helps this review.

PROS: LOVE THEM. They have pop, while still being pretty playful. I can still definitely do butter 3s with ease. Butter 5s you have to throw a little hard, but you would have to do the same with any ski. They aren't ridiculously soft like the invaders, so you can still charge relatively hard on them and land 60+ ft. jumps. I haven't had them wash out on me even when hucking hard.

Surprisingly enough powder is decent with them, even with only a 93mm waist. I've done enough switch powder landings with them this year to be happy, although a bigger ski would be preferable (boone glowsticks next year, anyone? STOKED).

CONS: The topsheet does chip a bit, although not anymore so than Armada or K2.

OVERALL: My favorite all-around skis I've ridden. Ever. Perfect amount of pop combined with a good flex pattern that you can really have fun with on the slopes. Great stability for switch, I've been able to land switch on every groomed run at my home mountain, and this season has been pretty sketchy up here in Washington. Definitely a good buy if you're looking for a ski that can do pretty much everything, albeit not quite powder-specific. Hit me up if you need anything else!
