Who else is anxiously awaiting the lineup to drop today for bonnaroo 2010?

I think you might be confusing truth with... Not truth.

If you are gonna give shit to a festi for being to indie why not pick lolla or cochella?

Boo. The Flaming Lips shouldn't be performing classics. They've gone from good indie band to high-profile cover band. It's disgusting.

meh, im open minded to the idea considering i most likely wont be attending this and dling the soundboard to it really isnt going too out of my way to snatch something cool/different.

Yeah, it may sound good. But it's not theirs, and its just a gimmicky stunt in my opinion. Ever since they did a Tommy medley, they think it's their free license to cover whatever "classic" albums they feel like, and it's seriously degrading their image from a musical perspective. It's like they've stopped trying.

This is a ridiculous statement. Listen to Embryonic. Quite the opposite of any type of "high profile cover band". That album proves how legit they still are, and how much they don't give a fuck about getting on the radio, or selling 1000000000 copies of their album. They just enjoy making good music. And its not like they are trying to duplicate Dark Side. Its a cover of Dark Side in the Lips crazy style of doing things.
You must have never been to Flaming Lips show either or you would DEFINITELY not be saying "they've stopped trying"
Although I do agree that Bonnaroo has lost a lot of what used to make it awesome.

Sorry for the dub post, but at Roo The Flaming Lips are playing a full set of their own music first, then doing the Dark Side cover

Of all the bands that were announced today, I am a huge fan of some, not so much for others. I however will NOT be going to Bonnaroo this year (mostly because its hella expensive) but also because of the following picture. I was on the Bonnaroo site today anxiously awaiting artist announcements, when scrolled down the page and saw this comment posted. Look at this bro named Rob:(i hope to god this picture works)
