Bongs in Fridges?

The title says most of it, can I store my glass bong in my fridge without causing damage to it, its red eye glass so its pretty thick and I have put it in there to chill the glass before but was wondering if it is even safe for it, seems fine but just to know.

In the fridge it should be fine, buddies of mine have done it before to keep a chill to it in between slides. As long as you are careful in handling when you take it out considering it'll be a bit more fragile.
 
putting it in the fridge'll cool down the glass and the water, it makes for a nice hit, the glass'll be a little cold but with most one drop'll do it anyways. throw some fresh pow in the ice catcher for an even smoother rip
 
It's always nice to hit a water bong when it's cold. Condensed smoke because of cooler temperatures gives you a better, thicker hit.

If you have an ice catcher, it does the same thing essentially
 
ya dont worry i understand all that, it just seems to me like you could use cold water out of the tap and it would do the same shit
 
Why are you storing it in your fridge?

Get a fucking ice catcher, change your water and put cold water in it. Storing it in your fridge seems like a nice way to get condensation and your noobish paws to drop it on the ground.

Storing in the fridge? Come on, seriously?
 
the other day my roommate was holding it on the bunk bed above me and i was below him and he went to pass it to me and he thought i was holding it so he let go and i caught it. i have no idea how. my paws=pro
 
its fine to do that, if I were you I would leave the slide outside of the fridge though. If you go to spark up a bowl after the slide has been in the fridge the change in temp could cause it to crack.
 
Just take the slide out and its all good, just more fragile so be careful. Its safe, everyone talking shit probably hasnt done it.
 
You're right. What the fucks the point though? Cold clean water and an ice catcher loaded up, what's the point of having a cold slippery outside?

 
When the whole bong is frosty there is more cold surface area for the smoke to hit and cool down from. Its just extra.
 
I put it in my fridge for a few reasons, it is cold as hell and yes I do have an ice catcher for the above recommendations to get one, it seems to make it alot more smoother and taste better and cut down on the smell of bong in my room.

I live in a residence and often smoke in my room so its not like Its a chore to put it in the fridge it is a grab away.
 
It really isn't worth it. It's one thing to keep your pint glasses clod as you have a drink in the glass. The cold glass plus the ice will keep your drink cold. The smoke is moving though the bong fairly quickly. Having a cold bong isn't really going to do anything that cold water and ice won't already do. But if it makes you feel better, go for it. Just an unnecessary thing. Plus it takes up fridge space
 
Is putting ice in a bong worth it? Its the same idea, how could it not be worth the effort of putting it in a freezer. Youre making the smoke hit more cold surface, cooling the smoke more.

If youre in a rush or a clutz then its not worth it. Alot of things are unnecessary but just add a little extra pleasure.
 
I usually never bother with the ice but it's still a different thing.

The smoke is sort of lightly skimming the sides of the bong. The smoke actually has to travel through and around the ice. So it's a completely different thing. You can though a little crushed ice in the mix too.
 
Not really a good idea, OP. It's not likely, but when you put the lighter to the bowl, the temp change could crack it. Just the bowl, but also you have condensation all over it too, kind of like a sweaty toilet which seems kinda dumb to me.

I'd just put ice in the tube and fridgewater in it. It will keep your idiot friends from knocking it over when they're stoned and looking for a hot pocket too.

The only reason you should have it in the fridge or freezer is if you have one of those gel bongs, whcih is just an over priced gimmick when you can just put ice in the tube imo.
 
Sounds pretty pointless honestly. If anything you're just risking making your glass a bit brittle over time. You could just take water you've kept in the fridge and use that when you smoke for the same effect, and not risk breaking your bong over time
