Bone Spur

My liners have packed our a ton over the past 3 seasons (I really need some new ones), causing my right heel to rub a lot, and I'm almost positive I have a small bone spur. It is occurring on the back right section of my heel and has worsened greatly over the past 2 days.

I did some research and I believe it is happening because calcium was over produced when the bone was healing. I am just wondering if any of you have had a problem with this and could let me know the best way to treat it.

Thanks

Best way to stop it increasing is rest and going to have your boots fitted. If your getting heel lift like that there is too much space over your instep. This could be because the boots are too big over the instep or your foot is not properly surported in neutral. Take the boots to a shop and see how the shape of the shell matches your foot and if your footbeds ( if you have any) and properly stabilising your foot.

Thanks, I set up a time to meet with this wizard boot fitter near my town on thursday. Supposedly he can fix any problem. For tomorrow (because I have a comp) took foam and made a ring in the liner. Seems to be working quite well.

You could try pharmaceutical grade DMSO. But your skin needs to be clean as it might pull any impurities into the blood. I bought some from dmso.bz and use an eye dropper to dispense it. Good luck. Taking more than one tablespoon a day can be neurotoxic. I would only use a few drops at a time.
