So my choices are between Boise and montana state anyone on here have any suggestion also what's the Boise ski scene like as well as the party scene

my sis goes there and likes it i live a few hours away in pocatello the school is really good my sis sad but they don't get a lot of snow of snow the park is 7/10

Boise is a really cool place. I went to high school there. Bogus is really fun, and it's about a 30-40 min drive from downtown but there is not always the best snow. It is definitely what you make of it. It is where I learned to ski though, and I loved every minute of Bogus shred. Sun Valley, Brundage, and Tamarack are all weekend, or even day trip able if you are super ambitious, and all of those resorts are super fun. The party scene in Boise is not like super crazy, but people definitely know how to have a good time there. I cannot say what the scene is at BSU, but I imagine it's pretty fun, but not insane. I have quite a few friends who stayed in Boise and went there are still really dig the city and the life. I think Boise probably has more going on in the city than Bozeman does, but I don't really know. Bozeman seems like a pretty rad place and I have heard great things about Bridger Bowl, and Big Sky is way sick. I think if your biggest concern is to ski big and steep stuff, I would choose MSU.

Boise is rapidly growing, has a great outdoorsy vibe, a good music scene, friendly people, and a fantastic beer scene. Quick (>5min) access to the foothills for hiking and mountain biking. Bogus (the local mountain) is close and perfect for days when you just wanna ski but can't commit to the 2 hour drive to Tamarack or Brundage. Tamarack is amazing because it's long and steep and very underpopulated, Brundage is higher elevation go gets slightly more/better snow. Idaho also has some of the best whitewater in the world.
Montana feels very similar to Idaho, except everything in nature is a little bigger in Montana. Bozeman is a cool city but is very small. I think the fishing is better in Montana but both states are great for river fishing. Big Sky/Moonlight combined to make a single fucking massive mountain, almost as many skiable acres as Whistler, but is very crowded and gets skied out fairly quickly. Bridger is awesome because not as many people go there.
Overall you'll be stoked on either place as long as you like being outside. Boise has more to do in terms of nightlife and that kind of thing, where Montana is probably a little better if you're looking for the pure outdoor experience

and as for BSU itself, it depends on your major I guess. They're a growing school and are always adding new classes to the different catalogues, but some majors don't have much flexibility as far as what classes to take. The school will do things that annoy the shit out of you, but that's pretty much the case at any university. I can't speak for MSU, but Boise is far from a party school in the traditional sense (ie movies about college) but if you're looking to party it's not very hard to find likeminded people. Greek life is virtually nonexistent but people still throw house parties all the time. The bars are relatively good.
