very sick! but heres a few things to make it better:

1. No reverse-no big deal, just wasnt huge on that shot.

2. Vimeo- just trust me- much better than youtube

3. Slider?- maybe get a slider, add some variation to the shots

4. shot variation-maybe a slider like I said above, or follow cams and such.

5. less realistic- IDK if it was the shutter speed, colors or what, but it just felt a little too realistic to me. videos should try and take you away from reality. this isnt as much the case in BMX and ski videos, but they should still have a little bit of an unrealistic element. also might be the frame rate.

6. better grading/correction- goes with the comment above, just work on this. looked like you corrected it a little, but consider correcting a little more or getting into grading

7.change title- maybe something more creative than BMX edit 4.0?

8.title in video- put your title in your video creatively

9. no end of movements- this seldom happened. but try not to show the end of a pan or any kind of movement

10. more creative shots- maybe just some more shots of the landscape, creative shots of the riders, etc.- your call.

and these are all very petty, it was a great video overall

Really liked the edit actually.

I'm no filmmaker (yet...) but I really liked the shots. I dig that it was filmed from far away (most of the time), makes it so much nicer.

Just like in ski edits I prefer that much over follow cams, not a fan of those (now I don't know if it's possible to do follow cams in a bmx edit, but still).

Also, the change in the middle was really nice. And the music a long with it too!

The line at 0:31. You cut the line up into two shots. Personally, i like to see a line in it's entirety so i know it's a line for sure. That was the only case of that though, great edit overall.

I am not quite sure you had enough pans....

Besides that it was very nice. Just try to get some non riding shots like landscapes, timelapses(maybe), or lifestyle type shots like said above.

wow man

really good critique.! im not very creative it will really help me out. really soon, im gonna buy a slaider and a little crane so no more 99% pan shot hahahah ;) and yes i didnt have a lot of all around footage. shooting bmx is way more difficult than i tought. everything goes so fast. it is hard to have the right timing with the right angle. still learning but really happy !!!

Adding to other comments, cut out the wind noise, it really bugged me. Try not to cast a shadow into the frame, it takes away from the "magic" of filming. I know its impossible to avoid sometimes (happens alot when doing follows in certain areas at certain times of day) but if you can avoid it (ie the last shot, you could have set up on the other side) try to as much as possible. Like others said, shots were pretty repetitive and the reverse shot was meh. Some shots were too tight and some were too wide, but thats all preference.
