Haha I'm not going to lie I grew up with money. My parents have nice cars, but I had a beat up 95 bimmer, and I still managed to get a GF in HS that i've been with for two years. If you really think you can pick up girls based on your car, im sorry sir, you are a fucking tool and a half

I got my gf half because of my car. My dad gave me his 650 li after he ordered a CTS-V. (Yes I've grown up with them having money, my dad has also loved American cars since he was born.) anyways, the car was always just a car to girls. Never anything special, but there was one girl in particular that have no shits about what the car was, half of because she barely knew it was a BMW. Long story short I had to start paying for my own insurance and could not afford a 2010 5 liter BMW at 16 years old. I sold the car, and my dad didnt want any of the money from it because he was glad I made a responsible decision and so on. I ended up giving him about half of the money back secretly. (I put it in a series of envelopes he has that he has money set aside for slowly improving his '63 Chevy II and a 69 Cadillac deville.) I took the other half an did the inevitable... Bought another car. This time, an older one, but still a fun car. But hey, I had about 24 grand to work with, so I had enough money for any sub 2005 ///M car. I ended up choosing an e39 M5. (86k on the odometer, 6 speed, ski package, the works.) next weekend comes and I go to pick up a couple of previously stated girls including the one that gave 0 fucks about my previous car. We had a good night and whatever.(only 3 girls and me and my best friend) I'm on the way home dropping everyone off an both of the other girls an my best friend all live in the same neighborhood, so now it's just me and this one girl in the car. I do my fair share of showing off, but fuck its an M5 who the hell wouldn't? When we get near her house, I begin to slow down and signal a right turn into the neighborhood. She grabs the wheel and says, "keep this thing straight, I'm not going home yet" either way I made her get out because it was already 10:30 if I recall correctly and I had to get home. Next Monday at school we talk and everything, and now we have been dating for 2 months. So sir, fuck off. I got my bitch with a car. 2 bmw's, one was appealing to her, one was not. It's all about their preference, because deep down, there are extra feelings for a dope ass car.
 
I used to love BMWs, but now I fucking hate them with a fiery passion thanks to this post. Do the rest of the BMW owners of a world a favor and drive that M5 of yours off a bridge and into a lake.
 
What about the post makes you hate a car company that has undeniably one of the top 3 stylings of all auto companies in the world? I never meant the post to sound conceited, but seriously what the hell? I don't know what is wrong about posting an experience to show how materialistic people can be, even when there is evidence that proves if someone really doesn't care? Fuck, half of the people that own bmw's (excluding 18-23 year olds that drive slammed 3 series) are probably pretty materialistic. It is human nature to enjoy the fine things in life, so why fight it? If people have money to spend, they can spend it on A) cocaine per say, or B) a beautiful home or nice cars or something else that makes them happy. I have no idea how you grew up, and I understand how god damn lucky I was to grow up in a two parent, stable income home. But I've learned one thing... If I make the goddam money I'm sure as fuck gonna spend it however I want, not what every vwvortex scene kid wants. The original post was never meant to bash anyone, and I thought I made it pretty clear that our family enjoys nice cars in general. Do you have nothing better to do? I argued with the kid that you can pick up girls with your ride. My girlfriend isn't some gold digger bitch. If she was, she would've liked me more with the 650 seeing it is more expensive than a 9-10 year old M5. I simply pointed out(with a rather long explanation with some fairly unneeded information) that it isn't necessarily the car that makes the girl like you, but rather she likes your taste in things. Dude I've never had a problem with you on this site, and to be frank I really don't give a shit you don't like BMW's. you just need to chill. It's alot better to enjoy shit than it is to despise it. I'm not gonna even end with, 'kindly fuck off' because that's what every car thread on here turns into.

that is true. i would love an FBO 335. but i couldnt find one that have sports package, premium package, navi, comfort access, cold weather, logic 7 surround. I worked the dealer on this one and ive been happy. Its got enough go for me now. Next one will definitely be turbo'd
