I've got a couple friends who might want to head up if it really comes down to that. It would be expensive, I've already put down money for 2 trips out west this season, so I hope springs opens or something.

They were open for 4 days on break when other resorts were open a month before. Bmbw is never the first to open so idk why you think break is possible when nobody will open until after christmas.

That's pretty bold of them to set an opening date with such questionable weather coming up. But if they do open I'll definitely be headed there rather than killington
 
LOLBMBW. I live 20 minutes from year round skiing (indoor hill) and am coming home over break to this shit. Do you think I'll be able to even get a day in before the 9th of January?

well last season they opened on new years day, and this year the weather is looking even worse. Don't be surprised if you don't. I'm in the same boat, about to come home for break for 3-4 weeks.

I think they will be open. Temps look good at night starting the 15th the last time I checked. But knowing bmbw anything can happen

Weather shows they can start making snow at night on the 18th . Making snow at night is their only option. How long is your break?

I'm here until January 9th, so I still have a decent bit of time. Apparently Snow Trails and Peek n Peak are still trying to open on the 19th, so I'll try to make some trips there. I just hope I can go skiing somewhere tbh ;__;

Winter's cancelled. I'm spending a stupid amt of money to fly out to CO over break. Only fucking way I'll get any skiing in
 
As long as there is temps below 28 at night they will open. Even if they open early January we would be in the same position as last year. Have faith!!!
 
Temps are still looking awful for a while. i work snow making at Snow Trails, looks like were going to be able to make snow friday and saturday night, hopefully thursday night but probably not. Im working on getting a couple mobile guns into one spot so we can build a little bit of a set up. also we dont plan on opening saturday its just the kickoff party, as it cant be rescheduled because of band booking.

we will try to set up as much as we can but were talking 10 total hours of snowmaking if were lucky, which isnt much, but if we can pull this off im hoping 5 rails

I don't know why you guys would start now. It will just melt next week and you will lose all of that money. I understand that you arent bmbw and you actually care about your customers, but you don't want any extra debit with this awful winter coming up.

Yes but if all the snow melts then you would be essentially throwing money away since there is no reward. If I spend money by throwing it away, I make no money in return.

so keep in mind this is not set in stone, i will know for sure tomorrow, we are going to make snow this weekend, probably looking at almost 10 hours of snowmaking friday night, i going to have 4 mobile guns and 3 tower guns making snow on half of our beginner to try to get a little bit of a base for saturday. will only be hiking but im sure at this point most of you will be ok with it

25' low box and 30' 14 inch round rail as flats for the first pad,

then 20' 4 inch down rail next to 20' donkey dick,

then new telephone pole rail as flat next to new/recycled elbow rail.

and brewski is right, sometime you gotta risk it for the biscuit

Looks like it may be possible to make snow Thursday night but it might just be a little warm. Hope this works out would be nice to get some skiing in.
 
So its confirmed, were going to shred saturday and sunday, tickets are free but you have to get one to ride (insurance purposes). 6 features, maybe a litlle jump, we will have to see about that tho. hope to see everyone out! holler!

All I hope is that I don't hurt myself on day 1. I havent slid a rail in so long and I kinda forget the feeling since I only hit a couple last season. So if you see me with my bright yellow and orange volkl skis slipping out then u know its me lol.

haha I wouldn't worry about it, probably gonna be tiny rails for opening day. I'll be on some halo 2's being way too reckless for day 1

I'm only gonna be there for a couple hours probably from 12:30ish - 2:30ish. If your there could you help me out lol . I wanna get 2s out by the end of the short season. I've never hit a tubish or round rail only flat bars so I will be learning how to scissor there.
 
Omg guys the impossible has happened. Look at the bmbw snow cams. They blew snow at bw even with the upcoming weather. Maybe they're planning for a rail jam/hike park?
