yes. maybe i should learn how to do shit on this site before i post..... still i wish they would have took more than one picture. though those rails in the pic are sick

NICE! probably make it up there a few days this season. especially if they do another monster cannon comp, that shit was fun as hell

i believe the rails were built by maintenance and by the park manager and Fitz the monster cannon rail jam is Jan 15th this year...most of the events are posted on the site by now...theres gonna be a few new events that should be super fun, one of em is a 48hr film comp.

what time? im pumped that theres a lot more creative comps goin on this year. whats the details about the 48 hour film comp? it would be sick if it was like 1 filmer 2 rider teams filming and editing all weekend to put out the sickest edit at the end

a 48 hour film comp. That all they have and probably all well know till at least two weeks prior. Not sure that they have everything out except the dates.

What i meant was they just set the dates up. This is in the middle of February and lots of other competitions that are going in the first year are before it. So all they have is a basic idea which is probably not anymore than that it is a 48 hour film comp with a premier at the end. And also the dates that it will take place. I think if they did have an idea it would be on the calendar page, but like i said they have a lot else to worry about before they worry about this. no need to get all anxious we will find out soon enough.

I have no idea why i said death...
but neapolitan, they wouldn't put an event up, and only have guidelines...
I'm just wondering if this means the resort will stay open for 48 hours, or is there 48 hours open to film and edit resort or urban, or is it just a whole bunch of features set up, and we have 2 days to session them...

im guessing details will come out as it get sooner. my guess is that its just gonna be normal resort hours just the comp takes place over 2 days

i highly doubt they would let us just ski there for two days straight. But that would be sick. My guess is what heff is saying. you got 48 hours to get all the shots anywhere probably using the resort while there open and urban after and filming it and showing it at the end.

Mt High, Bear, and a few other resorts that "get it" have done this contest with great success. It's not very hard to understand.
Paint/ setup the rails, boxes, and features unique to the time frame and then pick the best edit when the period expires.
Mt High gave away two free season passes to the winning team my last year there.

that would be so sick! like a BMBWSS. idk how they would regulate what footage you use however. but it looks like the kilted yak big air is the same day as the free flow tour at HV so idk how many people will actually be there. hopefully they can change that date

am i being a baby by being annoyed by a setup like this---(not the FD in the back, but the pipe to box is what i dont like)

out of hundreds of people, i only saw like 4 people hit it. and only snowboards at that. i may be getting to old but shit like that just isnt that fun to hit. Or is it? just looking for other opinions

I agree with this creative stuff. I figured a way around that pipe before the box(foot plants), but still would much rather have a down box. It seems every year they do something stupid like this, but you have to work around and it and remember it is still skiing and it is better than nothing. I mean 5 years ago they would not get a rail up until january. Anyways, I have been talking to people about the b wine park and it sounds like opening day is going to be sick!!.
