Blurry video after transfer

I have an issue transferring my videos from my media browser to my editing software. I have Adobe premiere elements 8 and when I transfer it to premiere, the clips get really blurry. The vids look really good on the media browser though. I use a JVC Everio GZ-HD300 (if that matters)

i think it might have something to do with the settings you are using to edit in premier, like editing in HDV 720p when your footage is SD?

maybe. ill check premeire but im not too sure
