Blunt/tailgrabs and bigger spins and also carving into the lip

Two questions!

1) I always find that when I was going for anything past 5s with a tailgrab it gets harder for me to reach back for that grab and still be able to spot the tail and grab it.

When do you start to reach back? After 180? 360? Also, are there any tips you have so that I will be able to lock onto the ski earlier so that I can tweak it out?

2) I have always been one to just pop straight off a jump and set unless I'm going for some floaty cork spin. However, I've been seeing people carve a bunch off the lip and make it looks really good. I'm wondering carving more in my regular spins will help smooth me out when I rotate faster (in spins past 7 and such)?

Know where your grab is going to be so you dont have to chase it down. So sit on the char lift side, and swing your out side foot back and forth going for the grab without looking to build you timing and hand tail coordination . 2 dont set all the spin with you grabbing hand let it chill more and set harrder with the other.

well it will help you spin but its harder to keep it upright. just start will a little and play with it more and more. its so fun. oh ya go a bit faster as your angle of travel will get longer the more you drift. because your not going straight
