Bluetooth sending from computer to phone not workin? HELP!

So i connected and paired my phone to my computer (Macbook). Then i went to send a file to my phone and it says that my phone will not accept this type of file. so i clicked on send anyway...it says error and my phone read check bluetooth status of recieving device. However there is no "status" on my phone... ANYONE KNOW HOW TO FIX THIS?

you may only be able to send certain file types... what are you trying to send?

ive tried to send pictures and music...

by the way i have the LG White Chocolate VX8500

you'll have to check the details for your bluetooth setup.... you may only be able to send ambiguous files like address books, I know my blackberry cant send videos, music, or photos via bluetooth

damn cuz my friend can send stuff like music and pics to his phone...and i figured i could since mine is a music phone...o well help please
