im probably going to my uncles time-share there for xmas and im wondering when it opened last year? also when did the parks open? ill be there for a week so if there are any other good mountains in the poconos with good parks let me know! thanks.

Timeshare near Blue? hmmm.. Well yes, as the Poconos Blue is good and they should certainly have something up in time for Christmas. If you are staying south of Blue, consider Bear Creek which always has an awesome park scene. If you are staying North of Blue consider checking out Big Boulder.

There are Cults devoted to each of those three mountains. I'll send you one to Big Boulder.

bushkill is a little more towards camelback i think
blue opens in like the 2nd week of december. last year we had a little park up the first day and throught the season until the big park opened. the big park opens around mid january/early feb.

whats the park situation usually like at camelback in december? would it be better for me to take the extra time and go to blue? basically all i ski is park, so whatever else is on the mountain doesnt really matter to me.

If you are staying at Bushkill, check out Shawnee for a day, they have managed some decent stuff in the past, but it is hit or miss that early in the season. Shawnee is maybe 15 minutes away. Then another day, cruise on down I80 about 30 minuites or so to Big Boulder. Camelback.... well if you are with a group, it is close, but the park can be uh.. (depends on what you are used too) - Sno Mountain is really appearing to notching thier parks up this season. You probably can route yourself along some back roads to get there... uh if you are traveling by yourself you will be happiest at Boulder. Blue Mountain is going to take about an hour and can get very crowded.

I live in Stroudsburg.

DO NOT GO TO SHAWNEE! I REPEAT, DO NOT GO TO SHAWNEE

Camelback has the best mountain skiing around and best pipe, but the rest of their park could be better. If you want park hit Blue or Boulder.

Damn man way to diss a decent mt. Yeah Camelback has a decent park but Shawnee's is good too. Prob with Camelback is that its 10 min on the lift and 30 sec down. Best pipe is actually Blue but it is further away then Camelback. Blue has a great park. Those 2 mts I've heard are really trying to get their mts open. Shawnee is the closest to you and its not bad. I hit the big mts every year and I still go back there
