Blue Mountain PA - 05/06 News!

Damn, I have not had a chance to get in the pipe yet. Too damn busy today to do anything fun.

The new and final name for the freeride ski program is DARKSIDE FREERIDE TEAM.
 
aight so this weekend better be nice out cause im ready to tear the hit at the top of sidewinder up. i want to throwdown off it so bad but the wind is always so nasty and you cant get the speed you need for it. i will be skiing friday, checking out the freeride program on sat, and i dunno about sunday yet, might go to bear, but let me know if you gonna be up there rippin this weekend!
 
conditions today sucked, really bumpy and sugar everywhere. the landings for all the rails had gator pits and were mad haggared, the only plus was the first hit on sidewinder was good if you hit the left side. i hope conditions get better soon.
 
Our beginner rail is real nice, I was even attempting switch on to it.

Today was the first time I was in the new pipe, I think it is awesome... much easier to boost now!

The sugar sucked today, and yes the park was very haggard. We need more park crue member that are willing to do work...
 
agreed with the park crue, but yesterday when i was up even though the snow sucked the park was better. the first hit was really nice and there were no rollers or anything after it, the new up flat rail is so much fun and you can just go full tilt at the c box and that is money. overall it was pretty good, just wish the temps would come back down so they could get some new snow up there and make it even better.

Yeah, that booter is BIG... the snow was a little to slow earlier to hit it though. Some new "rails" installed since Friday as well.
 
anybody gonna be there monday morning... im gonna try and put down my first 360 attempt. need some support, or just someone to laugh at me when i fall on my ass
 
i'll be there around 8:30. i gotta peace out around 11:30 or so to get to work on time though. green coat, white pants, i'll be on invaders or 4frnts, not sure which yet...
 
The Sidewinder park is nicer and bigger than I've ever seen it, the size of the jumps really keeps most of the families and little kids away. I just neet to get some more balls and finally progress
 
all i got to say is dont speed check going in to the 53'er it hurts i know from the past i cleared it like 10 times its so fun but dont speed check

i thought i saw you hit a jump or two but i wasnt sure because i didnt see you hit any rails while we were sessioning them......
 
is that a pic of the top left kicker or the jump right before the wall? which one is 53 feet? the one b4 the wall is def harder to make.
 
we were there on wedsday... and that pic was from the jump before the wall... we were hitting all kinds of stuff

Tre was thowing some nice stuff in the upper park during freeriders last weekend and KT hit that c box so sweet! I think the re-vamped park is really helping people step-up.

There are still plans to add more, and bigger features... all we need is some SNOW!
 
tomorrow...filming a bit, maybe if i get unlazy, i'll throw an edit together...it's gonna be a good day though, look and listen for good stuff goin on all over sidewinder
 
Right now management is freaking out becuase of the weather and low crowds. they are not letting us do much until things get better. But there are more features coming.
 
Good session on the flat down today. Who was the cutie with the smile and the TM's? I have never seen her in our park before.

We are probably going to offer a 5 week freeride ski package starting next week. So if you were thinking about joining but could not afford the $465, let me know. All levels and abilities are welcome!
 
man, skier150 has the pickup lines down, good call with the smile. How hard did blue get hit by all the rain? i wanna go sometime this week or next weekend.
 
^ yo mike... im goin up tomorrow after psych (11) if u wanna head up... shouldnt be too bad, theyll have some time to blow some snow
 
Blue is still kickin'. I think the snowmaking forecast I saw for this week said blowing was possible 4 nights out of seven, but I don't know if that has changed since Sunday...

Yes, we just put in a new step-up gap jump after the double wedge in the top of the top park. It is about 24' I believe.
