So I started this new thread becuase there is no need to drag a old one out from last year.

It is 11/21 and they have not started blowing snow yet. At this point the projected openening day is 12/9/5.

The park is going to kick ass this year!
 
Ok, here are some tidbits on the new stuff.

New Freeride program for skiers!

The pipe has been widened and more snow guns have been added, also a new pipe groomer.

New magic carpet at the bottom ski school for beginners.

Upper sidewinder has beeb widened, in some places up to twice as wide.

A LOT of new features, including a possible set of stairs.

NO SMOKING in the summit lodge!
 
they are blowing on mainstreet, midway, easyout/vista, school hill and explorer hill is what it looked like
 
They had the Paradise guns on for a while this morning. 60's and rain in the forecast for next week though...
 
it would also be better if they would have built it higher... i dont think they realize that the snow is going to come halfway up it once they start blowing... and then they still need to make a transition for it... oh well, it will still be better than their deathwall from the last 5 years
 
Blue is supposed to have 7 tails open on the 2nd. Let's just hope the next few days are not too damaging weather wise.
 
^your best bet is to call them and ask them if they will, that way, maybe they will get the hint. i called today, and they told me no, because they didnt think their was enough snow on the parks to open them. their thinking is that if its not marked as a park, it cant have rails, boxes, or jumps. give them a call, if enough people bug them about it, maybe we'll get something.
 
prolly not justo, its a liability issue. im comin home as soon as classes are done on friday at 3, so i should be home round 5 or 530 and im headin straight for the hill. down here roundtop had a ton of snow but yesterday and today absolutely killed it. i was watching the webcam in the morning, then i just checked it and literally half the snow is gone.
 
is blue the only area in pa opening this weekend? that is very unbluelike of them and it thrills me to see this.

It was nice being on snow today, even though it took me a run or two to get out of carpet mode. I did not see KT or Justo, but someone told me what happened... that sucks!
 
yeah chris we saw you and charles on our last chair ride up before heading in. i snapped the 4frnts at the tip, so i'm on loaner skis for the rest of the weekend.
 
Today was a little nice, but tomorrow should be awesomw with the fresh snow. I will be there at 7:30, hopefully they will open Lazy before lunch. Maybe we can have a rail jam in the afternoon at my place.
 
PASR ----- www.paskiandride.com rocks!! more than half of our group was there we had 17 members there at one point or antoher. I think I saw a lonely crew there, CB next weekend if BC is open OK? CB had huuuuuuuge piles of snow in their park as I type right now, we got 3 inches last night and 5 more forecasted tonight and who know how much for early monday morning. I am not promoting CB other than to say they are notching it up level this year, it may still be lame... but the indication are.... I will know more tomorrow.
 
YAY for PASR. Good for you and half of your group... half of them can't ski for shit anyway. Oh, and my daughter, "titties" rocks! I praise her and brag about her everywhere i go too! Maybe our kids should hook up? give me a call sometime... 1-800-youarea35yearoldtool.
 
i hear lazy is going to open tomorrow and the quad and a few other trails on wednesday.... who knows... anyway...possible snow monday night into tuesday??? sounds good to me...
 
any word on any other trails being opened considering all the snow we are suppose to get? and any word on any rails or anything that they have open?
 
Talk at Blue is that they are trying to have a park opened by this coming weekend, which also means that the quad will be opened as well. They will definitely have the quad even if there is no park, which would be lame as shit but whatever. Whatup with all the hate in this thread?
