Blue Mountain (ON) Quietly Added Ski Touring Access in 21/22

...for full ticket or pass price of course. I assume this happened due to the '20 COVID closures, when people were definitely trying to ski there anyways. Oddly (or not), they didn't widely promote this on their socials.

While this is a step in the right direction for 'legal' on-resort touring in Ontario, I wouldn't expect anything reasonable from them, like a lowered price for touring-only hill access. I'm still salty about the bike park.

Uphill access is via The Grind multiuse trail. Fond memories of enduro days using that trail in bike season.

You have the 1940 trail connector going inbetween the ski club and blue. its a little steep at one point 30ish degrees, but people do it in winter with regular shoes and their dogs. ive never seen anyone there ever checking if you have bought a ticket. at the same time, ive had friends not pay for lift tickets and ride the lifts all day long.

Thanks for the intel ajb. I don't ski Blue much due to the weekend crowds and preferring to support Louis between the two with my $$$, so I don't have great knowledge of the area.

also been boycotting blue ever since they shut down lift access DH mtb in 2020. Was literally the only good spot in the whole province. Lucky I moved to la belle province
