Blue and Black or Gold and White

I think its all perspective. When i first saw it i saw white and gold but all i saw before was that the dress was white/gold. After seeing that it could be black and blue thats all ive been seeing.

This definitely has to be part of it to. Has anyone seen that video about some tribe in Africa who have a really weird way of naming and identifying their colours? There is this picture of 8 green squares in a circle that was part of a study with them and most people can't tell the difference between the green squares, they all look the same shade of green. But the fucked up colouring system this tribe had allowed them to completely differentiate the one slightly lighter green square because of how their system worked. I can't find it on the internets right now, but I'd be pumped if anyone could link it up should they find it.

The whole fucking internet is bugging out about this dress, and i'm over here like "hmmm I wonder if something else is going on in the world that is trying to be hidden from the masses."

"Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain." Call me a conspiracy nut, but its just how I think.

I have tried looking at it in a variety of ways, quickly versus staring for long periods. I see NOTHING but blue and black and feel like an idiot for wasting so much time thinking about this.

it's funny because when i saw this yesterday i thought "it's obviously white and gold and can't possibly be any other way. anyone who says blue and black must be in on some widespread internet troll"

sure enough it's fucking blue and black right now.

Well on the bright side of things we have confirmed that the dress is blue and black. On the bad side of things I'm pretty sure I failed my exam... so I am going to try and blackout by dinner time tonight and then go skiing all weekend for stress relief

I want to take a second to complain about people complaining that the internet was flooded with this last night into today: Quit being a Grinch and let people have fun. Life doesn't always have to be so serious. A majority of people are getting a kick out of the illusion. Y soooo serious????????????????????????????? Do the complainers just google news all day to find out about people dying and kids starving? We can't solve all the worlds problems at this moment so unwind, relax, and just move on...

75% Of people say that it is White and Gold but the picture is really Black and Blue. Everybody who is seeing White and Gold has their eyes always working adjusting the lighting to suit them.

Saw the dress as blue and black, scrolled down the thread, then back up.

Now it's white and gold.

It's both, its all about what colour you believe it is.

the dress is actually blue and black but its a trick of the light like if your eyes think its artificial light behind it you see gold/white and if your eyes think its natural light behind it then u see blue/black.

i can make it change colors. if i only look at the top 1/3 of the picture, with the bottom 2/3 scrolled off of the page, it looks white and gold. if i scroll down and look at the bottom of the dress, black and blue.

it's crazy though...when i first saw it (middle of the night) i was like obviously white and gold. even though i KNEW it was black and blue. i looked at it the next day about mid day - boom, black and blue. i've since looked at it again late at night and during the day and it follows the same pattern. wierd.
