So according to what Jim said in the 2013-2014 outerwear thread their gear will be arriving in september. Im stoked on their new line and there is no thread about Bloom so far.

See the message below:

Here is some more info about their new line.

They are using new materials this year (some might remember Jim asking about our opinion on the following pic).

According to their facebook-page they will be using the upper right fabric, which is a 20k/20k ripstop fabric.

Oh and some of you might have seen this picture already.

Probably just a prototype but the color looks really nice. Not feeling the zipper pocket placement though.

Please contribute if you have more information or something to say about their new line. Im pretty stoked to see the new products and I will definitely buy a jacket again this year. Some guy stole my all black Onward Jacket two weeks ago and im still bummed about it haha. I need a new Bloom Jacket!

I've heard rumors that the 13/14 line will be 3L construction, but I'm not 100% on that. New color looks sick though. I've owned a jacket and pants from the 11/12 line and a jacket from the 12/13 line and they're sick for sure. A couple things I didn't like: the weight of the fabric is pretty heavy and I overheated a lot on longer hikes. Even though it's a shell material, I usually only needed to wear a long-sleeve t-shirt or a light fleece underneath it to keep warm. Also, the velcro on the cuffs wears out pretty fast and is placed so that they can really only stick on a super big size, if that makes any sense. The DWR seemed to wear out a little faster than other brands, as well. At the start of the season, the water would bead up on the surface of the jacket as well as I've seen on any other top of the line jackets. By the end of the season, the material seemed to be getting very saturated though (although I live in the PNW, so I do a lot of skiing in wetter snow). However, I never experienced any leaking whatsoever. The wrist gaitors are sick as well, much more beefy than the flimsy gaitors they put on oakley jackets. TNF jackets don't even have wrist gaitors... I also really liked the pocket layout on all the pieces I owned. All in all, they make a very solid product, especially for a company that's only been making their product for 2 years. They definitely have a few things to tune up, but they're on the right track and I look forward to seeing what they have to offer in the future.

Thanks for your input. You are absolutely correct about the weight. It could definitely be a bit lighter. I did not notice it that much though. Maybe because I just did one tour last season. Im more of a park skier anyways. The part about the warmth of the jacket is true. I usually just wore a hoodie and a t-shirt under it and never got cold. I really liked the hole for your headphones on the inside of one of the breast pockets. Other than that I did not have many problems with my jacket.

Well the fabric ripped/melted when I fell on a rail pretty hard and the velcro on the cuffs really wears down fast. I did not have issues with the "big size" of the cuffs. I mostly ride with fat mittens so they fit very well. When I wore my jacket off hill the cuffs were pretty wide but thats no problem.

I never had problems with the water resistance or breathability. Maybe thats because of you skiing in a lot of wet conditions. My jacket never got soaked but I know what you mean. Ive had similar issues with Saga pants I have owned before.

The wrist gaitors are cool but sometimes I struggled a bit putting on my jacket because the wrist gaitors and the cuffs would tangle up. If that makes any sense.

They make sick products and are the most legit company out. I will definitely buy a jacket again.

I hate to reply to my own thread but their new line will come out at the end of october. At least thats what Jim said in another thread.

They are using 3 colors this year (one of them is a nice blue) There will be 5 colorways on the jackets and 3 on the skinny and baggy pants.
