Block Images?

OK so I am super sick of kids posting those damn pictures of like facepalm and cats and stupid shit. It's bad to the point where I am embarrassed to be on NS in class in case someone looks on my comp and sees these retarded pictures.

My idea is to have a selection in your account where you can have images turned on or off. If it was turned off then they would just appear as links. Would this be hard to do?

It is really nice being able to have relevant pics and youtube vids in the forums. I just can't stand those dumb pics. Having strict rules bannning them would be sweet but that's not gonna happen.
 
just block images in on the site. Right Click on the Image in Firefox or whatever browser and check the Box that says "Block images from images.media.ns..." and the images will go away leaving just text.
 
yeah this would be cool. It would suck to read the news though. Could you block newschoolers.com/web/forums? and still be able to read the news.

Plus it would be in NS best interent I think to add this as a feature in your profile select. Like fancy editor. Then the ads would at least show up still.

so yeah last week I was reading a thread in class and was greeted by an image of a nice assortment of dildos. I definitly scrolled away fast, but turned around to see if anyone saw, they did. We both half laughed but I mean someone else could have thought I was actually looking at it.

Also all of these troll images are very juvenile. I mean I know the average age on this site is 16, and I am only 20. I am totally down for immature shit, it's in my nature! I just don't want to be bothered by images, and repeat quoted images.

Right not I actually have to quickly scroll through a thread and see how many pictures there are. I also think you miss out on important stuff when someones one line post (that's actually meaningful) is surrounded by a bunch of pictures.
